"Another Chimp & Shoot from Canon" on
Pros: Probably the best amateur camera available today.
Cons: Without a spotmeter it's not suitable for much more than point & shoot (unless you only shoot in-studio). Why would anyone spend $1600 for a camera that has been purposely crippled to make it no more useful than any $300 one?

"underexposed + soft out of focus pics" on by BirdManTim
Pros: fast shooting many extras avail.
Cons: BIG OUT OF FOCUS PROBLEMS +every photo is underexposed even when compensated for. If adjusted until bright then washed out.
Summary: I can correct and live with the exposure in photoshop BUT = BAD focus make it useless. I have tried canon and after market lenses. I sent it back to canon for repair (returned worse then sent) At a subject distance of 10 feet it will focus anywhere from a 18 inches in front of to 18 inches behind the subject. Every photo is blurry, unless tripod mounted with apature set to F18+ and lots of studio light on the subjest. This makes the depth of field deep enough to compensate for the lack of accurate focus. What a waste of time and money. Going back to my Olympus E20N at 5 Meg Pix the Olympus shoots great 8X10s THis NEW 20D can't even take a 3X4 that dosen't make your eyes water with the blur. Canon even hhas on the 20D web pages how digital photos are not as clear as 35MM. They are if the camera works.

"Incredible, worth the 10D Upgrade!" on
Pros: Speed and accuracy. Turn it on and take a sharp picture within a second. With the 28-70 F2.8 and 70-200 IS USM L lenses I have yet to be disappointed in overy 10,000 difficult indoor action shots in the past month. Fast, tight focus (particularly if you
Cons: Don't bother getting the package with the included lens. A total waste of the camera's capabilities. Shutter is loud but I can deal with that. Reported lockups but that has only happened to me two times. (lucky)

"Horrible- look old fashioned- Clumsy" on by zebra1944
Pros: Easy to operate
Cons: Poor images
Summary: Over priced

"Out of date - camera to be discontinued/replaced soon." on
Pros: awe inspiring camera but made redundent with new Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel XT
Cons: Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel XT is the same camera but with a smaller, more compact body for $400-500 less.
Summary: one of the greatest cameras unless you have unlimited funds for the EOS 1Ds Mark II, but the Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel XT was just released, which has all of the EOS 20D's prosumer features and 8 megapixels for only $800-900 (depending on your source).
