"Excellent - Love it - Buy it...you won't regret it." on by the30D

Pros: Features - Well built - Solid - Image quality - Speed.

Cons: only 5 fps - Only 8.2MP...but can live with it.

Summary: This is one awesome camera. I went from the Fuji S9000 to the XT now the 30D and this is my final stop (i hope).

The in camera processing is awesome. I rarely have to post process any of my images. The features are excellent. The speed of this camera is great (i wish it was 8.4 fps like the mark II).

I use a 17-85mm IS USM - 50mm f1.8 & a 70-300mm DO IS USM lens with it and I couldn't be happier with the image quality. I'm hooked on Canon now. I kicked Fuji to the curb. They can't even compete in my eyes with canon cameras and I've delt with fuji for the past 5 years.

"Very good camera except for the LCD zoom feature." on by 20 tiger

    Pros: Fast; easy to use

Cons: LCD Zoom is not useful at all to check focus and sharpness. The 17-85 mm lens had to be replaced due to a manufacturing defect.

Summary: The camera is as easy to use as my older EOS 10S. It is easier to learn and use than my Nikon EVF camera.
The 2.5" LCD is really a big disappointment. The 1.5" LCD on the older Nikon EVF camera is much better at helping to verify the sharpness and focus of photos. This is either a software issue related to how photos are magnified on the 30D, or a defect with my particular camera.

"Excellent camera, top-notch quality, speed etc" on by alexd1983

Pros: Image Quality, Speed, Battery Life

Cons: Camera shuts down on CF door opening.

Summary: I just love this camera. I'd like to point out in the CNET review that a battery life supposedly of only 250 shots or so is ridiculous! I've been able to get at least 1100 shots on a single battery, and though I carry an extra with me, I've never had to use it!

The image quality output from this camera is spectacular. I have made prints from this camera that are 50x70 inches and they look absolutely stunning.

Also I'd like to comment on th ruggedness of this camera. Although it isn't a 1-Series camera and not actually designed for ruggedness per say, though the occasional knock and even the accidental trip and fall to pavement from about 15 feet, the camera performs flawlessly.
