"Best I have ever owned" on by LifeLoveAndLaughter
Pros: Almost as easy as a point and shoot but with spectacular quality
Cons: The flash blocks the view finder especially with the telephoto lenses
Summary: My first digital camera, an Olympus Camedia, I think shot as high or higher quality pictures than my Nikon CoolPix 8800, which also was a gigantic pain in the ass to use, very slow.
The EOS 30D reminds me of my old Cannon AE-1 setup, except even easier to use with better quality results. I admit I have the lens with the red-ring and a UV filter. -- that lens makes the camera. I like it so much I got the 70-130mm zoom with a polarizer and the 170-500mm Cannon zoom lens' with a UV also. Now I have the same setup as my old 35mm days.
It is so easy to take the greatest shots now. I can't remember enjoying a camera more. I am going to give it a '10'.
