"Excellent Camera right out of the box"
Pros: Easy to use for first time SLR users
Cons: Expensive Package
Summary: Went to Circuit City on Sat and spent about an hour taking pictures with various cameras that were highly rated by CNET.I was impressed by the sales persons knowledge of the products and felt this one was the way to go based on his information, and my father had an old AE-1 and it never let him down. Came home and pulled it out of the box, looked over the setting dial and began to shoot, over the weekend I took over 300 picutres, once I got the hang of shooting with a semi-pro camera it never took a bad picture, from still shots to taking pictures of cars moving at 75+ MPH it was crystal clear. I wanted a camera that was easy to use and fast, this one is it.

sorry to burst your bubble, i'm sure the xti is a great camera (i'm thinking of getting one as a backup to my 20d), but it's not a semi pro camera. The 5d is or maybe, stretching it, the 30d. canon's rebel series is geared towards the amateur market, and the 20d is geared to the more advance amateur market, though the great think is , neither camera produces amateur pictures. Canon makes excellent beginner SLR's and it's great you've found one that suits your needs, though it is weird that they come out with a cheaper SLR then thair new 30d that has higher resolution....
anyway... Enjoy!
(oh, by the way, just to drool over, take a look at the Canon 1ds mark 2..... just an amazingly beautiful camera with stunning image quality.)
