"good point-and-shoot, looong delay after flash" on by nspiratn

Pros: Sharp, detailed pictures with moderate to good light conditions. Good video recording capability. Useful Manual controls. Easy to use even one-handed. Fits in jeans pocket / purse.

Cons: After almost 3 years usage - Very very long delay after flash usage - this makes it hard to take quick "action" shots with lower light conditions. This delay seems to have got worse with time. Same with Battery life. Bad night shots without tripod.

Summary: For its price and class, this is a very good camera. No significant distortion for wide-angle shots, good quality images at below ISO 800, after which pictures get noisy. Its also hard to get rid of blur if you don't have a tripod at high ISO. I haven't noticed any fringing either. Not good for night shots without a tripod - too much blur.

Auto-mode seems to work best. The SCN, movie, portrait, landscape modes are very good. You can also set it to take upto 10 pictures very fast which comes in handy for action shots.
