Pros: Can do lots of things well and is high quality.

Cons: Lens protector only works part time now.

Summary: I have had this camera for about 3 1/2 to 4 years now, got it for $160 at Sears and have been very happy with it. Read the entire manual and do some experiementation and it is pretty amazing all the things this camera can do, and do well. Video sound and quality are very good, too, comparable to cameras costing many times more.
Within the last few months, the automatic protective lens cover doesn't work right. It opens automatically when you turn on camera and closes automatically when you turn off camera. Right now, it only opens slightly, but I gently flick it with my fingers and it pops open all the way, so it is not a huge deal or a show stopper. Other than that, camera still works fine and takes high quality pictures. If the lens cover stops opening all together, it is something I can probably fix myself or else is nott too much to repair.
