"Get the Sony H5"
Pros: 12X zoom, Image Stabilization
Cons: only 6 mp, small screen, no real advantages over S2
Summary: I was hoping for a bigger screen with more megapixels. Greens don't look natural but more importantly this model only makes modest gains over the previous model. When you look at the competition and they have 3 inch screens with 7.2 MP and 1000 ISO, it will make you wonder if you actually got the best on the market. The Sony H5 is a noticeable better product and Canon is trying to rest on its laurels.

If you like the Sony H5, that's great. Its a good camera (albeit prone to purple fringing and burnt-out highlights). However, giving the Canon an "Abysmal" rating is unwarranted and irresponsible. This review should be removed by CNET. It is because of individuals like you that I can no longer totally trust CNET's user opinion ratings.

this person is certanly not a real photographer and never used this camera. the only two good camera brands are cannon and nikon and this camera is a great example why. for more info read my comments for the other comment for the one with a 2 rating

You flame someone for giving a 1 rating on your beloved Sony camera. Yet you do the same thing here. When was the last time you saw a real photographer w/ a Sony camera? Answer: Never!
Don't listen to this guys comments, he probably works for Sony... Most Sony owners think their product is the best and that nobody else can make a better one. -
Do you actually own this camera? If so, how many pictures have you taken with it. For me to give any validity to the statments you make more information needs to be included. To me it looks like there are a lot of people that want to rate items they don't even own.

Why do people w/o any common sense rate cameras? dentalrep's rating is obviously a joke yet and only skews the camera rating unfairly. CNET should screen out such feeble minded reviews.
