"Great camera, for 6 months"
on by caNOTusePros Woderful, when it worked
Cons Lens error, camera junk now
Summary Like many Canons, out camera started with the lens error issue. Too expensive to repair, no fix tips have worked. Spent $200 for six months use, not a good value.

"AMAZING! but..."
on by archaeoprophetcomPros Unique Canon lens (somethin' about those lenses), packed with features like miniature mode and color select isolation. Ability to handle professional class SDHC cards (even class 10).
Cons For HD video (720p / 1280 pc pixels) you can only record 09:59 minutes at a time...then the camera stops recording. YOU MUST MUST MUST use professional class SDHC cards for HD recording, otherwise you will get issues with audio sync.
Summary FANTASTIC shutter speed and processing speed if you use a professional class SDHC card (I use PNY class 10 16GB...works AMAZINGLY FAST but no 4 hours of HD video). I hope these guys review these cameras using professional class SDHC cards because they really make a difference. I highly recommend this to anyone.

"Amazing P&S Digital Camera for the Average User"
on by TheHitman2009Pros Great all around picture quality. Great daytime video shooting. Sleek. Long battery life. Amazing zoom.
Cons Not the best for shooting video in low-light. Slow process between pictures (unable to do shot-by-shot). HDMI output/USB door is annoying.
Summary Pros Summary:
Picture quality - I am very impressed with this camera picture quality. No it's not jaw dropping results. But it is far better then other camera I have used in the past. Only about 16% of the pictures I took had to be deleted to do blur, off color, or other reasons. This camera takes great pictures in low-light as wheel.
Video (day time) Quality - The 720p video looks amazing when connected to my 32" HD-TV. There is bit of a blur when zoom in tight on something. But that's to be expected with a digital camera.
Sleek - I love the style of this camera. Very small, very sleek and very sexy. The top button placements are perfect. All thought navagating through the menus can get a little frustrating for users with bigger fingers (like CNET pointed out). I have small fingers so it was okay for me.
Long Battery Life - Battery life is a huge factor for me. So I was so impressed that the battery lasted about 300 pictures before I had to charge it.
Zoom - The zoom on this camera is great. Things come out clearer then I expected at full zoom.
Cons Summary:
Video (low-light/night) Quality - This camera still takes decent low-light video, but it's not the best. (Unless I am doing something wrong or have the wrong setting). But like I said it's not terrible, subjects are still easy to make out. Just a little more blurry and distorted.
Slow Shooting - Unlike most P&S there is slight delay between shots that don't allow you to take shot after shot. Unless you are in "Burst mode".
HDMI/USB Door - This is the most annoying thing about the camera. The door doesn't stay open long enough for you to put the USB or HDMI cord inside. It can get annoying and it feels like I can break off easily causing you to be extra careful.
Overall Summary:
I found this to be one of the best digital camera I have ever used. If you can look past some of the camera flaws. Then this is the perfect camera for you. I really love this camera. I would would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that is in the market for a P&S. -
"Great pocket camera for every day, minor cons."
on by sharkierawrPros The size is fantastic! I absolutely love that I can fit it in almost any pocket to just grab when on the run.
Good picture quality for a point and shoot camera.
Many great functions, in auto mode camera chooses appropriate scene quickly.Cons Occasionally when in the light the camera may produce slightly washed out images, the colours aaren't as bright as they can be.
Summary I got this camera for myself as a little day to day one on the side of my DSLR. I am very pleased with ti and would recommend it to any one. I love the matte finish it was (Black), and it has taken quite a few falls with absolutely no signs of damage. Have had it for a few months now. You should see the looks I get with this small thing! Very impressive and chic, exactly what I needed.

"Small, easy to use, sharp."
on by CrackinStinePros It's small, easy to use, only took me a day or so to grasp the full controls array. Takes good Sharp video.
Nice clear photos. Fair sound quality on playback.Cons I haven't used it enough to notice any negatives, except that it does NOT come with a sd card pre-inserted.
I will add more in futureSummary This is my new vacation camera, even though I personally only use it for shooting video, its easier to handle then the larger by 4 times sized video camera, Though to take common photos i will still rely on my old sd450 :D
Will give this camera more use this winter, and after then I will update my review, Current rating stands at 3.5 Really nice, just what I need.
