"*DEFECT*DEFECT*DEFECT*"
Pros: Honestly not a bad camera
Cons: DEFECT!!!!!
Summary: There is a defect in the camera ...
Must've been something wrong with the production in the US ... Mine broke 3 weeks after I bought it but I can't even get it fixed because I was in the airport to go abroad when it broke. I took out my camera to take a pic and I see the LCD broken with a little blob in the screen.
If I did break it, I would gladly pay the overpriced $160 to fix the LCD but when I searched online, I realized that a lot of people were having the same problem. I personally think Canon should do something about this and offer new cameras or something because I paid good money for this camera.
I did not expect this from such a multinational company and it won't help the company if this word spreads.
Honestly, it's not a bad camera. Quality of pics and video isn't bad. But the fact that the LCD breaks is a BIG PROBLEM.
So when u buy this camera, do a little research about the LCD and do not be surprised if the LCD CRACKS.
PS. Search "Canon+Cracked+LCD" on google before purchase ...

I purchased mine from Canada and it workes fine now for over a year! It may be that Canon USA made a bad batch of these SD300's but Im sure they have fixed that problem now.
