"If you stumble upon this camera on ebay for a good price, get it" on by gregordude

Pros: Nice pictures, quality movie mode, long long battery life, small

Cons: closeups with flash look too bright, need to keep camera very still or else blury

Summary: If you're reading this review, obviously you're probably thinking about picking up this camera used, as it is 3 years old...then this review if for you. I got this camera xmas 2005 and it has served me well. Having 3 kids, this camera has gone through tons of pictures and movie taking. I stopped using my camcorder because the movie mode on this camera is very impressive. You can even digitally zoom will in movie mode, and when converting to DVD it looks good on my flatscreen LCD tv. The pictures are always nice and color is accurate. Only caution, throttle down the flash when close up, else your subject will look pale.
To this day I'm still using the same rechargeable battery that came with it and I have not noticed a decline in battery life. Its amazing that I can leave this camera sitting for a week or two, pick it up and take it on a day outing and the battery will not even register low. Very impressive battery life, I must say. I haven't upgraded because this camera has beens serving me well and I don't quite need the extra megapixels yet. Overall, if you want a good backup camera, or something you can carry discretely, get this camera. Oh yeah, and did I mention, it can take a beating. Dropped this sucker on the floor countless times (mostly in its case, but 2 or 3 times while taking pics cuz its so small to hold) and all is still well. Because it is small, you need to hold camera steady or else pics will be blurry, there is no stabilization mode either.
