"looking for wireless? don't bother" on by fatalfflaw
Pros: image is average
Cons: incomprehensible directions software created conflicts in existing programs
Summary: I bought this camera for the 'wireless' feature. Found out after it ONLY works (theoretically) with XP, 32 bit, SP2 nad if you have anything else forget it. So I tried to install it in my home computer which happens to have exactly the above parameters, nothing doing, not even with the help of my geekiest friend. Excluding the wireless feature the camera is very pedestrian, my Sony is 10x better and I imagine there are dozens of others as well.

"A good start especially for underwater photography" on by gmon750
Pros: WiFi Capability
Cons: Need to put it in higher-end cameras
Summary: This low-end consumer camera is a good start. I hope Canon expands this feature to higher-end cameras. Being able to take photos out of a camera without having to open up the u/w housing would be a big plus in my book! Now if only they figure out how to recharge a battery without removing it from a case!

"Wi-Fi seems to be it's best feature" on by ryuko098
Pros: Wi-Fi; compact
Cons: Limited printer compatibility; otherwise not the most innovative camera
Summary: Although I know there are a couple others out there, this is the first time I've heard of a Wi-Fi camera. That's really convenient! It seems to be a pretty decent camera, but maybe a little low-end by today's standards (my year old camera is just as good, and cost $199). It would be nice if the wi-fi supported other printers -- that's one of the more convenient functions! But then again, for regular-sized pictures, it's actually cheaper just to get em printed @ Wal-Mart.
It seems like the main reason to buy this camera is because it's got Wi-Fi. What other reason should I buy this camera? Are there any other innovative designs or higher standards? That's what I want to see. The Wi-Fi feature should be merely a very cool side feature - not the primary reason to buy. -
"GoodJob Canon" on by charles117
Pros: could upload pictures without cable and use it without memory card
Cons: who brings a notebook at the mountain
Summary: They should make wireless connection between integrated wireless notebook and desktop. Whats the point of adding a usb port? Who brings there notebook at the mountain or beach for storing pictures.
Not good for bringing it to your friends house. Who brings a notebook to your friend's house? Isn't it rude?
