"Absolutely THE BEST CAMERA for a novice!"4.5 starson by Donna Rico
Pros: Speed, large LCD screen, size and options!
Cons: Low battery warning comes up too late.
Summary: This is the best little camera on the market! I am a novice photographer and use my camera for all my family affairs and a little business work. After reading all the reviews and comparing all the features of lots of different cameras I found this little jewel! All it took was a comparison of the camera speed to make my final decision. I actually lined up several different cameras and used each one at a time to see which one was the fastest and the easiest to use! This camera blows away all the others. It’s fast, easy to use and I don’t think I’ve taken a bad shot with it! I was amazed at the variety and ease of changing camera modes. The LCD screen is large and easy on the eyes. The additional viewfinder is also a needed benefit that most of the other cameras didn’t offer to help you save on your batteries which is a nice feature to have when you travel. (Yes, the LCD sucks them up!) The movie function is awesome! I was amazed at the quality of the picture and of the sound. The stabilization feature allows you to take better pictures and movies. None of the other cameras in this range had this feature. Another simple but important feature has been useful for my husband. He is hard of hearing and this camera allows you to set your camera sounds to your preference. I changed mine to the “barking dog” sound so he could hear the bark to know when he has taken a picture! The only down side I have found is that the battery runs out at the EXACT time the display shows that your battery needs to be changed. No prior warning….just a blank screen that says you have to charge your battery. I immediately purchased a second batter for back up. Yes, this camera is a little more expensive but for about a hundred dollars more you get a superior product that gives you a viewfinder, stabilization and faster picture taking. As I buy a new camera every 6 years or so that comes out to about $16.00 per year…..and I think this camera is worth every penny!
