"Pioneer camera for a lot of fun" on by Benoitm80
Pros: Casio among the first of the rugged camera segment (decent image quality... though competitors propose better now) , good autonomy, tiny and slim
Cons: Shockproof indeed ... but the SD door opens too easily in case of shock. The battery door, at the opposite is a bit difficult to open.
No protection for the lens.
I prefer sober design and that could make the camera eve smaller and slimer.
The image qualiSummary: Casio was a pionneer for the rugged cameras, but now (2011) the G1 is behind sony regarding the image quality. It still has the advantage of the size (most competitors don't get so slim).

"Shoot anytime anywhere whatever the condition is!" on by archiekinsGWAPO
Pros: It shoots good quality photos and video. built to last. have tried it in all sorts of environment/conditions and lives up to its specs. packs with nice features.
Cons: Its difficult to open the battery latch and its drains quickly. Noticeable lag time when shooting from one photo to another. No HD video.
Summary: All in all performance could have been better but heck its a point and shoot and a rugged one in its class. just dont let those cam enthusiast get their hands on it coz definitely they'll give you a beating... Outdoor junkies this ones for you!
