  • "Great Camera"
    on by oneof52

Pros Size, ease of use, good pics

    Cons no memeory included

Summary This camera is great! I read the comment about the download from Casio so the video will play on Mac and downloaded it. The video looks great and plays thru Quicktime.
The box says the camera's video playback is not possible on the Mac, but it does.

  • "Fits perfectly in your pocket"
    on by sbeyderman

Pros Smaller than my wallet - take it anywhere; 5mp is more than enough; jaw-dropping design

    Cons Missing combined shot BestShot:

Summary As I said, it has everything one needs. Fits right in my pocket when I go out. I wish it has the combined shot BestShot that the other EXs have. I hope someone figures out a way to add that BestShot in.

  • "Real attention getter"
    on by conserco

    Pros Compact size, Best Shot

    Cons Flash, docking station

Summary Everyone, and I mean everyone who saw this camera wanted to know where to get one (the vermillion really pops). The micro size is especially popular among women (no jokes please). Best Shot works very well, especially for those of us who don't know the difference between ISO and F-stop. On the downside, the flash is weak (although better than most compact point-and-shoots) and the darn docking station forces me to charge the camera in the same place I download the photos. Still, this was a perfect gift for my wife who now carries it everywhere she goes. I even told her that she should make it a point to try to take 50 shots a day (enjoying the kids while they're still young).

  • "Great to keep in the Briefcase"
    on by PB

Pros Small, Great LCD and Features

Cons Only 3X optical (But worth it for the size)

Summary I bought this camera in Japan last month to replace my Dimage-X that I have carried in my briefcase for the past couple of years. I was looking for a smaller foorprint as well as a larger LCD and of course higher resolution.

I carry this in my Briefcase always and it's size is great as I don't mind having it with me all the time and have been able to use it many times when I wasn't thinking that I would need a camera.....for that this camera is perfect.

I also have a Digital Rebel-XT that I use for more complex work, but quite honestly with the exception of only having 3X optical capability this camera is amazingly versitile with the 30 "Best Shot" options, and actually much, much easier to set-up for anyone this side of a real experienced user!

  • "Product Support Poor, fragile camera"
    on by bgnick

Pros Takes great pictures until breaks

Cons Product support, authorized repair center weak at best, fragile

Summary Out of the box this was a great camera, but that is where it ended. The lens will extend in your pocket causing the drive gears to break. I sent it in twice for a repair and re-repair. Parts hanging out and still had to argue my case. The third time I sent the camera in for repair... I lost the fight... just send it back. At $120 a pop for repairs, I can purchase another camera brand new that takes pictures just as good... and I did. Hopefully the parts will become available to the public in the future...
