Cons: Flimsy, HORRID customer service!!! Rude, nasty and evasive!
Summary: I bought 2 of these back in July. The first one broke twice and the 2nd time the screen stopped working. I sent it back to Casio and they claimed it was a lens problme. But the first time they repaired it they also said it was a lens problem. they wanted $225 to repair. I tried telling them it was not damaged by me.
no luck. The reps are nasty, they hang up on you and do not return calls. Good luck trying to reach customer service supervisiors...they are even worse.
The director of customer service will not return my calls after 2 weeks of messages left (most times his voice mail is full). I cant get anyone else to even listen to me.
I took this up with the BBB and i will post the results here.
Oh, and the 2nd camera is now broken too but I will not send it back to them.

Casio is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Do NOT buy anything from them.

The EX-S500 is a flimsy, horribly manufactured product. I purchased it in December 2005, used it one time and took 5 photos, then it wouldn't power on. Returned it to Casio, it was repaired 1/06. Received it back took 3 photos, the LCD went black and the camera would not power on. Sent it back- IT IS UNDER WARRANTY but Casio refuses to repair it. They want $115 to repair, or $9 to give it back to me!!! The people are horribly rude, no supervisors, NO CUST SVC, I will never purchase anything CASIO ever again.
