"Even more than you hoped for" on by cwtodduwm
Pros: it has every feature you could think of, but is incredibly slim
Cons: nothing significant
Summary: I choose this camera based off the reviews of the ex-s500. I compared it and did heavy research on almost every camera between $300 -$400 made by sony, canon, kodak and nikon. I was hoping the minor flaws i noticed in the ex-s500 would be gone with this new model, and they definetly were. The picture quality is amazing. The best shot settings work great, and if they arent enough you can manually set every setting and feature to get the perfect picture. You can even do full editing of pictures and videos right in the camera. The video quality is great (30fps), and surprising flexible with available adjustments. Using motion print allows you to pick a single frame from a video and save it as an image with the push of a button. Most people who by digis never read the manual and then complain when their pictures dont come out right. READ THE MANUAL. It's 245 pages of pdf and your jaw will drop when you read about all the features. You can even add sound bites to still images!!! I bought it before any reviews were out, and i was hoping for it to just not have any major flaws, but it is definetly an amazing camera.
The closest thing to a con I can think of is the power button (which only needs to be used to turn off the camera) might be hard to push if you have big fingers. Another semi-con is that it seams too nice to carry around in your pocket. It's LCD is slightly raised off the back of the camera, making it the part that touches and rubs on stuff. On that same note however, I am a bar going college kid and every morning it comes out of my pocket unphased.
