"Horrible Quality"on by lilnyc
Pros Slim, Attractive, Video, Widescreen
Cons Photo Quality
Summary The photo quality on this 7 megapixel digital still camera is a few steps above my 2 megapixel cell phone's. My camcorder's 5 megapixel feature took better pics than this. So I'd average it's true pixel quality at about 3 to 3.5 megapixel quality. Some of the images that I shot were totally washed out and others had enough grain for a bowl of cereal.
I read the mediocre professional photo reviews and even saw poor (indoor) examples, but went with the majority consumers who praised it. Arrgh, they must be Casio employees. Because i only need it for a semester, I thought that the reviewers were expecting a quality above what I needed. But I did expect the quality to surpass my 5 megapixel camcorder's stills -- good grief!
There aren't any others with this design and slender frame and the restocking fee is not cool. So I'm going to keep this and search the web for quality fix settings, but I am highly disappointed.
Pros Everything but...
Cons ...the photo quality
Summary Simply put, I LOVE everything about this camera, except the photo quality! I only bought one unit, but the unit I have takes very low quality shots. Big disapointment. Looks cool though!
"great camera"on by madgurl_ninja
Pros wide screen-so u can see the photos clearly without squinting your eyes. 7.2 mega pixel-works great outdoors. BS modes and very slim
Cons doesnt work as well in low lighting
Summary i got this camera on sept 14th and i was thrilled. i got this camera in black and it looks very fashionable. everybody loved it when i took it out of my bag. they were shocked at how slim and fashionable it is. it has 35 Best Shot modes, it works great outdoors (with sunlight) i can take it anywhere wit me. The LCD screen is fab! i dont need to zoom in or anything like my last camera. the battery life is okay~ i charged it for 18 hours and if i switch it on non stop it'll last 5-6 hours max. i got a 1GB memory card, which could store abt 1300 photos. i love this camera! But one thing i wasnt too happy abt was how the pic quality gets grainy and everything under low lighting. but u can make the quality better by turning on high sensitivity mode or turning on the ISO sensitivity to its max limit, wich is 400. overall, im loving this camera~ n i would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a camera!
Pros Small, lightweight, large screen for size, intuitive controls.
Cons Manual could be printed with larger type.
Summary In a hurry I managed to input incorrect date when setting up. Discovered when downloading pix from trip. Called customer service.
PHONE ANSWERED ON FIRST RING BY TECH SUPPORT IN NEBRASKA. SHE WALKED ME THROUGH DATE CHANGE. END OF PROBLEM IN ABOUT TWO MINUTES.
UNBELIEVABLE. I wish Casio made computers, printers, and TVs.
Pros Huge LCD screen, great video quality
Cons OK, picture quality
Summary I bought this camera as a gift Valentines gift for my wife(the red color fit the mood). Her last camera was a 2MP Sony DSC-U20 so this was a major upgrade. This was her first camera with optical zoom and video with audio not to mention all the other advancements in digital cameras we have missed out on for the past 4 years. However when i print some 4X6 prints from the camera the quality was not consistent. Some picture(outdoors) where crystal clear and full of color but the pictures taken indoors where grainy and pixelated. But remember we have not bought a digital camera in 4 years, there are a lot of features and setting for us to learn.
