"A Big Step In Technology For Cameras Because!" on by mrrap4food
Pros: Video Quality is Great , easy to access, Picture quality is good also
Cons: video Mode Would be better with a "light" for dark areas, The manuals Not to helpfull and The Camera is to easy to drop, Battery wears down a little to fast
Summary: I bought this camera at walmart 6 months ago and lets just say! ive influenced 5 other people to buy this exact same camera!, better than the Kodaks and the other compition, at first i was skeptic about casio making cameras but it worked out great! i like the fact that you can select different filters (or best screen shots) to accomadate to what your taking a picture of . Its very little and its easy to store but thus the down part of that is that if you drop it , you may feel your blood jump because its little , another down part is that when doing video mode when your in a dark area visuals become real dark i would recomend it for good decent lit areas, but the sound Picks up Great!!!!! litteraly. also comes as a Voice recorder too! to record quick notes!
Zoom feature on video mode is alright , if you zoom to far the subject may be become blury, but not on Camera picture mode! , which also has a anti shake feature, so you can take pics while moving
and it wont become fuzzy
It doesnt come with a case and the accessories are expensive, now the major problem overall is the battery, depending on if you play back your footage alot while your out, that can wear your battery down, and its easy to accidently forget to turn off, so i would review a lot of the video files at home!, easy to transfer to computer, cables to connect to the T.V. to share with friends, easy to use SD cards (sold seperatly)
i would recomend using a 4gb sd card because that offers 1,000 to 2,000 high quailty pictures and about 47mins worth of HQ video or depending on what your using it for!
overall I love it! carry it everywhere i go just in case some shocking news breaks out and nobody has a camera to take footage and give to CNN! lol
IF THIS REVIEW IS HELPFULL PLEASE LET ME KNOW , THIS IS MY FIRST ONE ON HERE -
"Good but struggles in low light" on by ltesta
Pros: Small, slim, great movies, nice display, easy to use
Cons: Indoor pictures are not as good as expected
Summary: I just bought this camera as a replacement for a Sony Cybershot DC-P73 4Mp. I wanted something light, small, easy to carry, sytlish and with good quality. This camera just falls short in one aspect: indoor pictures which are grainy and dull.
You have to play a little with the controls in order to get an acceptable shot. It is better to use the manual ISO and set it to 50 as just at 100 it starts showing pixels and grain, but as soon as you turn the camera off and back on the configuration goes bak to "Automatic ISO" and if you do not remember to put it back to 50 you may end with lots of bad quality shots. There are plenty of other settings as AV, contrast, white compensation, etc, that can help on getting a better quality.
It seems the flash is not so powerful and the lens is too dark (needs a considerable amount of light).
Outdoor pictures are very good though and colors and details while indoor at ISO 50 with flash and in macro mode are very good.
It will not replace the Sony which has sharpen definition, but is less bulky and the display is much bigger so they will complement.
Movie quality is excellent, the best part of this little camera.
I have not found yet any lens problem as someone has mentioned about the previous Z60 model.
The configuration menu is very logic and easy to use, it allows you to create your own "Best picture" modes in addition to the 33 already there.
The zoom is like any other digital camera zoom, it just works fine but wastes a lot of details.
I would say that with the right amount of light this camera is great.
And the price is good too, so it is something to consider.Updated
Well, I just returned the camera. I wasn't happy, it is like having 3/4 of a camera, it's very frustrating having to play with the settings all the time to avoid granularity. If the environmentales conditions are not good it will leave you unsatisfied. -
"image quality is very poor" on by 1001director
Pros: small lightweight
Cons: last model was great. its fallen down dramatically
Summary: My best friend has the model underneath this and I used it and loved it. Its the reason I bought the new Z75. But I've regretted it the day I bought it

"This camera is everything I've ever wanted in a camera. It has everyting I look for and use." on by travie2
Pros: Big screen, pretty colors, shoots pictures very quickly, 7.2 mega pixels, excellent self-timer options
Cons: I want the zoom to be more.
Summary: I love this camera. It may not be the smallest camera ever but it takes good pictures. I love how the video is clear and so is the sound. There's even a calender on the camera which tells when I took certain pictures.

"Great Camera for Cheap!!!" on by T28
Pros: Great Design... Easy to Use! Good Pic Quality
Cons: Camera Turns On To Easily
Summary: This is a great camera! Costco has this camera for 199.00$!! That is a great price for what this small camera has! First of all.. The design is great.. It isnt as small as other camera's which is exactly what I wanted. You actually have something to hold on to. Also, it feels very sturdy. The flash is terrific. Start up time is extreamly fast. Shutter time is extreamly fast. It is so easy to use!
Although the picture quality is not the best.. I would completly recomend this camera!!
But it does turn on in ur pocket pretty easily, but there are many soultions for that. Dont let that small defect in the well crafted camera stop you from buying the Casio Exilm ex-Z70!
