"Outstanding"
Pros: Zeiss T-Star lens is superb
Cons: Capture rate speed could be improved
Summary: I am a well-established professional, now specializing in travel photography. For my purposes the Sony 828 blows Nikon and Canon right out of the water. I have no problem with JPEG-Fine, and have produced outstanding 24 x 36 fine art giclees using this file platform. After getting used to JPEG-Fine, I find no need for RAW capture. The Zeiss 28-200mm lens is sharper than any Nikon lens I've ever used! Unlike most of the SLR lenses, it was designed especially for digital capture, and is thus considerably lighter and more compact than its outdated brethren. It handles beautifully, produces excellent color files with its RGB+E system, and has a much-improved image format over the more standard 35mm format. I can easily work within the self-contained, 28-200m zoom range of this lens, which eliminates the need for interchanging lenses and the entrance of dirt, insects and dust into the camera works. Sony has produced a winner.
