"Do look for other options"
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Very bad pictures
Summary: Don't think "6 megapixels so forget everything else".
Keep in mind that:
- Batteries are not the AA you can buy everywhere and you already have a charger and an extra pair.
- I've had 6 different cameras and the first time I took a night picture with this one I can only describe as "shocked and sad". Great pictures in the open with a LOT of sun, but keep in mind that your memories, that "first step", the "big wedding", and the "happy birthday" won't happen in ideal ligth situations.

Not sure if I'm just lucky with my lighting, but so far, 90% of the pictures taken with my DX7630 have printed out beautifully. Maybe that's the photo printer I use (not the EasyShare docking printer, a more expensive, better quality HP printer). As a matter of fact, I was asked by a friend in March to take photos of her kids...after they were printed 8X10 and framed, no one could tell they were done by a digital camera! They looked professional!

I love this camera. I have another (Minolta) that went for twice the price and the Kodak performs just as well. I have no problems in dim light and the pictures come out just fine. I would easily recommend this camera.
