"Glowing review of the LS753"
Pros: Ease of use, sharp, quality pictures, great value
Cons: Battery life
Summary: Hands down, this is the best 5MP digital camera for the following reasons:
1 ? Extremely user-friendly navigational tools and controls
2 ? Beautiful, sharp and poignant pictures
3 ? Sleek, compact and sexy metal design
4 ? Tons of features and settings for different picture-taking modes
5 ? No disparity in quality when uploading to image-hosting sites and digital labs
6 ? Compatibility with Kodak printer docks, which are sold in every major electronics retail store
7 ? Exceptional close ups
8 ? Affordable and reasonable price for a 5MP
The only gripe that I have about this camera is that the battery life is horrid. More than likely it?s me, because the editor?s review on cnet as well as user reviews have all applauded the LS753?s battery life as being excellent. The circular okay button is sensitive, so less graceful photographers may get frustrated. Can I just say how easy and simple this camera is? I tinkered around with a Sony Cybershot, a Canon and a Fuji and found one major item in common: complex user interface. I don?t know about you, but having to pour through a user manual to decipher a camera?s basic functions sounds like a major production. The LS753?s functions and controls are explicitly labeled and positioned, so taking pictures is effortless. A bit of advice: don?t waste your money on a 256 MB card. Get at least a 512. The whole reason why you purchase a 5MP over a 4 is to utilize that extra megapixel of output. A 256 card will get around 150 5MP shots; a 512 gets around 300.

I looked at 2 reviews on the batterylife of the LS753. I found no problems with mine. I love this camera and I purchased a 512MB SIM card.Great sharp pictures and practically unlimited time use of the battery.Do not forget to shut off the flash, it comes on automatically every time you turn on the camera. This will inhance your batterylife.
