"Superb camera for taking great pictures without hassles"

Pros: Excellent picture quality and very easy to use

Cons: Battery cover looks a little flimsy, resets setting after shutdown
Summary: I have had a Canon A75 before and although it was a real good camera this Kodak blows it away. After I lost my Canon I went to Circuit city to buy a camera for about $250 expecting to get a decent 4MP but I was shocked to find this 5MP Kodak on sale for $190. At that price I though there must be some serious flaw with this camera, but after doing some research online I went ahead and bought the camera.

I looked past CNETs bad review of the user interface of this camera when buying it. It is really not that hard to use as the cnet review might make you think. I found the interface to be very intuitive. The OK button might mess you up a bit once or twice but not enough to hate this camera.

The picture quality of this camera is sensational. Using the Auto setting for the camera I am taking excellent pictures. The movies are fairly nice as well with sound and decent quality. I wish the output format was avi, but this camera uses the quicktime mov format.

This camera doesnt have a whole lot of manual settings that the Canon A75 had, but I almost never used the manual settings anyway.

One thing that I dont like is that most picture related settings you change are not stored after you turn off the camera. The camera defaults to Auto after shutdown. So if you have a custom group of settings for taking pictures then this camera is probably not for you.

I wanted a camera that would take good pictures without me having to tinker with a whole lot of settings and this camera fits the bill perfectly and if you are looking for a camera with similar criteria look nowhere else.
