"This is a great camera! Cnet is wrong on this one!"
Pros: Takes great pictures and the Price!
Cons: Remeber, if you want ALL the bells and whistles you will have to spend a great deal more money.
Summary: I have had the camera for a little over two months. I have shot a couple of thousand pictures with this camera. This is my first digital SLR camera. I like this camera alot and that the fact that it cost under 800 dollers is the biggest plus besides the great photos it takes. The battery life is great and seems to go all day on one charge. I would recommend you buy at least a 256mb card b/c at a little over 6mp it takes up some memory. I have two 256mb which gives me a little over 130 pictures at the highest setting. I also like the fact that it has all the nessary features to take great pictures with doing little work or you can do everything yourself. If it had every feature than it would cost as much as the other digital SLR's and unless you are shooting for SI I would just save the money and buy additional lens for this camera. Cnet is off on there review for this camera and are to hung up on the fact the body is made with plastic and feels cheap. The reason Canon probably decided to make it with plastic is to keep the cost of the camera so we the people could have access to a digital camera we all could affoard.
