"Lens Error! Do a simple google for this camera, and you'll find the lens error problem everywhere!"
Pros: lightweight, lots of modes, long battery life
Cons: Horrible lens error, grainy photos, bad resolution, video is horrible if not daylight
Summary: I bought this camera in Sept 2004, and it worked fine for the first few months. The image quality, though, has always been far from stellar. Very grainy pictures, red-eye in almost every flash photo, and just horrible when printed (and I'm talking 4 by 6). Of all the pics I've taken, I've only gotten a few decent, printable ones. After about 4 months, I suddenly got a lens error. I didn't drop it, and I didn't wet it. I talked to the Casio people about this, and they told me the lens error problem was not covered under my warranty. Wow. I talked to a few camera repair people, and they quoted over $250 to fix this problem. After all the money I spent on this this! I'd rather just invest in a more reliable camera with better image quality. This lens error problem has just been hell to deal with. So, if you're thinking about buying this camera, I'd say save yourself the trouble.
However, I have to say the battery life for this camera, and other Casios (from what I've heard), is just exceptional.
