"decent, but slow" on by thefragileone
Pros: good image quality for a 2 megapixel camera, easy to use
Cons: macro shots aren't the greatest, a little bulky, burns through batteries like crazy
Summary: I got this camera for christmas about three years ago, and it was a pretty good camera at the time. The image quality is surprisingly crisp for a 2 megapixel camera; however, I find that it's very hard to take a picture without the flash as they turn out very blurry and yellow if there's anything short of full-on bright midday lighting. My big problem with that is that I use the macro mode often and when I use macro with the flash, it absolutely washes everything out. That being said, it takes really nice non-macro shots.
Other than the macro/flash issues, I'd say my biggest problem with this camera is that it's *very* slow. It takes about five seconds to warm up when I turn it on, and with the flash on it's probably about four or five seconds of waiting in between shots. Without the flash, it's about three seconds, which is a little better.
Another issue I have is the fact that it eats through batteries like crazy. I did end up getting rechargable batteries eventually because it was costing me way too much to keep buying normal batteries for it. I only use it for about five minutes every few days and my rechargable batteries only last about three days before they need recharging. -
"pretty good camera, for its type." on by brb40001
Pros: great picture quality, good flash, focusing perfect in NO light conditions, crisp picutres
Cons: bulky, TINY lcd, bad manual controls, very slow, weird memory card, slow and loud zoom,
Summary: this camera takes GREAT pictures. they are usually very crisp. one thing that i really like about this camera is that it focuses in complete darkness, and can make it look like daytime. it was very cheap, but memory cards are a little expensive.

"Excellent in the category, but slow" on by grevesz
Pros: Looks good, very easy to use, takes good pics.
Cons: Slow, sometime difficulty focusing in low light conditions
Summary: Everything is good about this camera, except its speed. I like the way it looks and the lens cover is built in, so you can't lose it, neither does it dangle around.
The only reason I will (sometime) buy another one is because it's slow in two ways.
1. It takes about 3-5 seconds to charge the flash even with the best brand new batteries. If you turn the flash off, this is obviously not an issue.
2. After taking the picture, it gets transferred from the CCD to the XD card for storage. The time this takes depends on many things (the most important ones are image complexity and the selected image size), but ususally too long for my taste. This may also take 3-5 seconds.
Focusing is sometimes impossible in low light conditions, but if you neflect the indication of this, the pictures turn out good anyway. -
"Hard to use..." on by chickb27
Pros: good for simple point and shoot
Cons: multiple problems
Summary: I have had this camera for about a year and it just is not holding up. One thing that I find very annoying with this camera is the cover thing over the lense, if you don't have it in perfect position, it will not take pictures. Number two is that after awhile, the LCD screen sucks. It is very dark and hard to see out of till after you take the picture. Number 3 would be that after taking a picture you have to wait about 10 seconds before you can take another one. It is very bulky. I would suggest not getting this camera.
