"legendary camera" on by publiclink
Pros: crystal clear for a 2m camera
Cons: A little bulky
Summary: I have this camera for over 6 years. I tried several times to upgrade to a high resolution one. I started from 3m all the way to 8m. All brand from Nikon to Olymbus to Fujifilm (higher resolution). Still, this little one takes unbeatable pictures. I can't believe in 6 years, nobody can produce camera like this one. I'll keep this one forever.

"Why am I doing this for a 3 yr old camera?!?" on by Athon
Pros: No noise in decently illuminated shots 6x is good zoom
Cons: the same ccd that produces the good pix in brightlight lets you see nothing when lighting conditions are poor
Summary: many of you still think they got point and shoot cameras, but it is not the case with this camera. even with the evf darkened you can still take good photos if you don't mind the flash. let us suppose your subject has a lighter and that it is lit. you have enough light to focus on that lit lighter. keep the button half-pressed and let the man put back the lighter in his pocket. when you fully press the button you get a good focused shot of your friend if the flash is working. if you want it without the flash get a tripod for the camera. it works flawlessly

"Excellent camera for only 2 megapixels, I've had it for 2+ years" on by geoffmyers
Pros: Awesome zoom, excellent battery life, very good quality photos, easy to use, great focusing, stable
Cons: Only 2 megapixels, few manual controls, low-res LCD+EVF (minor)
Summary: This camera was my first digital camera. I bought it for $212 on eBay a couple years ago. Even though it is only 2 megapixels (max res. is 1600x1200), it takes VERY good quality pictures with great color and accurate auto-focusing. The zoom is awesome on this camera and I am sad that the Canon PowerShot G6 (which is the camera I am upgrading to) only has 4x optical zoom. I really like the electronic viewfinder because it displays all the information without sucking up the battery life and it's good when you're outside in the sun. The menus and very easy to access and navigate through. Since the camera takes 4 AAs, it has very good battery life. It feels very sturdy and secure in your hand with a good grip. The flash is high quality and can "fire" to fairly far distances. This camera was AWESOME in its day (2001-2002) and is a great point-and-shoot, but you can't even make 4x6 prints @ a full 300 DPI.

"Best Digital Camera I ever had!" on
Pros: I use this camera for work and it's incredible! I take photos indoors and outdoors and they are always sharp and clear and bright. I've also dropped it on concrete THREE times and it's still perfectly operational!!
Cons: The only bad part is that it's only 2 MP. I can't tell you another down side

"Good outdoors camera!" on
Pros: Excelent color rendering outdoors, even when overcast or raining.
Cons: Dificult to use indoors, even with the flash. It's Point & guess instead of point and shoot!
