"Good, but not great" on by Mydnight
Pros: This camera does take nice photos most of the time. I've used mine for 3 years and have gotten a ton of beautiful shots out of it.
Cons: Photo to photo is horribly slow. I go to a lot of concerts and trying to snap continuously is a chore and I miss a lot of moments because of that. Poor lighting gives poor photos as the flash is pretty weak too. Hardly any options and settings.
Summary: Overall, I don't regret buying this camera. It's served it's purpose and I've been pleased with it more often than not. Another con is the video mode. It only records 1 minute of video at a time and you can't zoom during the recording (you can zoom in/out beforehand). The microphone is decent on it, even in really loud areas (concerts, races, etc). I definitely recommend a memory card for it. I bought one and it never gets close to being full. As far as battery life goes, this camera requires the Lithium Ion Energizer AA batteries (silver & bue). Yes, they're pricier but they give you 3 months of life. You get what you pay for with cheap batteries, and your camera will die quickly (there's no warning the battery is low until it's minutes from shutting down... and, rechargable batteries are also useless - been there, done that). The zoom is decent and can go pretty far. All in all, it does the job and it's not extremely terrible. I wouldn't exactly advise against buying this, but if you have the money to spend on a better camera, go for it!
