"Mobile phone quality without the phone." on by trunk_monkey
Pros: Small, fast and very easy to use.
Cons: No RAW capture. No Histogram. Poor image quality.
Summary: Images suffer from serious compression artifacts even on the highest quality capture settings. Noticeable grain noise even on well lit scenes. There's no histogram display or RAW capture mode. Although slower, my old 4x megapixel Canon S40 outclassed this piece of junk.

"OK but not great" on by jbisct97
Pros: screen size, price
Cons: hard to set
Summary: Very happy with previous A200 and A300 so bought the A900 without researching. Very disappointed with clarity and sharpness regardless of settings. Difficult to set some options. Would recommend checking out other brands. I am.

"A trustwhorty companion" on by tangato
Pros: -Payed us$ 120 in Japan. Surprinsingly good quality pictures
-good rocking colours. Really!Cons: -not particularly good looking.
-strange colour/white balance settingsSummary: I bought this camera in a trip to Japan. Took hundreds of photos, the image is crispy aldo a little burned, nothing that any basic photo editor could resolve by increasing shadows a little.
Shoting do takes some seconds, not convenient for fast shooters.
Night shots are just fine, but its almost mandatory the use of a tripod or any kind of stabilization, the picture's maybe not sensitive, but once it's steady, the shot looks good and its also not grainy at all.
For a compact-trip companion-low bufget camera, a can have. Considering that's a 2007 model and I will get her to Japan again despite my other two cybershots, three thumbs up -
"You get what you pay for." on by prohobbyist
Pros: Sort of good photos, $65 at Wolf Camera.
Cons: Shuts off when I'm about to take a picture, small optical zoom, no optical image stabilization, practically no manual controls, pathetic battery life.
Summary: My dad got this camera because it was 9 megapixels, and only $65. The photos are decent but of course megapixels aren't everything. Because of the huge resolution it is crap in low light, and the biggest problem is the battery issues. First of all it goes through AA batteries like a camera from the '90s. Second of all sometimes when you are about to take a picture it just shuts itself off, and the solution is to press down on the battery cover. You also have no control over focus, aperture, shutter, etc.
If you want to buy a digital camera save up your money and get a camera $250 or above, because in this price range you aren't going to get a good one. -
"EXCELLENT!!!" on by Saranaprasadam
Pros: 9.0 megapixels at an affordable price, many picture modes, many communication channels, excellent pictures even at nights wothout flash, large LCD.
Cons: Slow shutter speed, noise, autofocus not works at all times.
Summary: I like mainly because of high mega pixel rate and shooting modes.
