"The pictures just don't look as good"
Pros: Big screen is a big plus. You can change the flash strength, which is cool. It remembers that you want to keep the LCD off to save batteries, very cool
Cons: The pictures just don't turn out well. Too high contrast, too low light sensitivity, doesn't play well with the flash, lots of noise from the CCD (pics are grainy) Complete review at http://ben.hartshorne.net/ran dom/fujirant.html

I had this camera for over a month, and went nuts! Tried everything, and the quality of the pictures are not there. So i called fujifilm, and got a run around. No one wants to take the camera back. I have a cheap 1.5 mp that did 100% better for quality. Very un happy camper here.

I just bought a Fujifilm FinePix E510 and the pictures are very good. Maybe you are talking about the E500 which only has 3.2 megapixels because this camera takes very good pictures.
