"Great Camera For The Price" on by KevinWegner
Pros: Scene Recognition, Great Face Detection, Excellent Daytime Photos, Decent Video Big LCD Screen, Compact, Lightweight, Durable, 12MP With 6MP Option
Cons: Low Quality Low-Light Photos, Cramped Buttons, Video Could Be Better, Low Quality Audio,
Summary: I bought this camera after reading every review on every digital camera out there in the $100-$200 price range. For the most part it has been a good camera, and the only complaint I have is the quality of low light photos. They can be very "loud" and fuzzy. Though it has 12 mega-pixels, it does not increase the picture quality significantly, and unfortunately it does increase file size. It is loaded with features, especially when compared with its younger siblings the J10 and J20. Scene Recognition is a unique feature that I found to be quite useful, and when it cannot not determine which setting to use, it automatically select "Auto". Face Recognition works very well, and I found it even picks up faces in a framed picture. Overall, its a decent camera for $160, and will be great for your everyday point-and-shoot. For those looking for superb photo quality, I would suggest to look elsewhere.
