Pros: Slim and compact. Lots of options for shooting. Bright view screen. Very intelligent software always seems to select the correct mode for the best picture in AUTO settings.

Cons: No viewfinder (I'm old fashioned). No stereo sound for video mode.

Summary: Used to have a Canon Sx3is. After 1.5 years the zoom stopped working. Loved the zoom range but found camera a little large so didn't always have the camera with us when we wanted it. I spent many years as a professional photographer so was a little hesitant to purchase such a small camera. Have now owned camera for several months, and am very pleasantly surprised at both image quality and sophistication of software. Very rarely have to manually change change things (and even then mostly because I want to not because I have to). Solid construction and easy to use controls. And since the size is so small we generally have it with us all the time. Not quite pocket size but certainly very close. Would definitely buy this camera again if needed.
