"Great Camera but Defective, Fuji isn't going to fix it."
Pros: Fast shots
Cons: I have 2 that broke in less than 3 months, and had read others have had the same problem
Summary: I got this camera about December so I could use it in Asia. Later after returning home, I took it out of the hard case a month later and the screen was white with a black blob in the middle. I sent it to Fuji they said it had been abused. I had kept the camera in a HARD case and I clean it with a micro fiber cloth. One was bought for my mother to use also another F810. This one has stopped functioning and Fuji also said it was abused; it was also kept in a camera case with foam. So if your camera stops working for any reason they don't need to fix it and will ask you to pay about 300$ for any type of repair. This camera is defective and it has happened more than one time with the 2 that I have here. So now I got 2 camera's that are no good unless I spend 600$ to get them fixed. I am never buying these products again. I had logged on and had seen that one guy had both defects on one camera. He had the screen fail and also the flash and the auto-focus. I did a search and found it seems to be a common problem with this camera. Fuji won't iconology this camera has a problem. I am not sure if it is bad luck or if there are some major flaws. If the warranty people at Fuji said they won't fix it, then they won't fix it. COURT? And before you might dismiss me as someone who is careless with his camera, I have a DSC-F717 Sony which is much bigger and never broke in 2 years of taking it all over the world.
