Fujifilm FinePix JZ300 (Silver)

Pros: 10x optical zoom and reasonable price was the reason I purchased plus even though I 've never owned Fuji before it was a well known name.

Cons: LCD leaked. This camera was pampered (new toy) compared to my nikon, cannon, and sony ( wanted newer technology and easier to see bigger screen all older camers still work great!) Horrible customer service!!!!

Summary: When I called to check on my camera repair I was told they didn't have it ... so I had to track it via usps to discover it had been delivered a week before. Received my refrence number and waited, and waited, and waited. Three weeks later still no confirmation email so off I go to call again. Am told it's not covered under warranty and it will cost me $83 plus tax and shipping to get it fixed!! Remember the camera only cost around $170 to start. I speak with a manager who will fix it at the dealer rate of $45 dollars plus shipping and tax wich was thoughtful but I refuse to spend another cent on anything FUJI. I have put my old camers to all kinds of tests in all situations snow, cold, heat, water, bumps, thumps, excedera and they all work great and this camera was my "new toy" and handled with kid gloves....there is a pathetic example of workmanship compared to cannon, nikon and sony. Do yourself a favor...keep searching...don't try fuji.
