"Purchased S3000 in Sydney" on by review2006

Pros: Camera fine and makes good pictures

Cons: Cover for battery compartment poor design. Hinges made of plastic and break after some use. Costly and difficult to get replacement. Does anyone know the solution to this??

Summary: The camera is reasonably good value but the hinges need to be redesigned - stronger.

If anyone can help with replacement cover
    please contact johnplaege33@hotmail.com
    thank you

    "Great camera" on by RHolycross1

Pros: Great for nose bleed seats at concerts!

Cons: Too big, have to sneak into concerts

Summary: I have had this camera for about 3 years now. I use it mostly for concerts and holidays. I wanted to try something smaller that I could just fit into my back pocket, so I bought an Olympus. Big mistake! I used it at a concert the other night and I was so dissapointed when I uploaded the pics! I have used the Fuji FinePix S3000 in the nose bleed seats at concerts, directly across from the main stage and have had absolutely great,up-close pictures! If I could afford to buy a professional camera I would, but this is great for now!
The only bad thing about it is at a concert, you have to take the picture without the flash because of all the lights behind the performer, sometimes you get a blurry picture because of that, so you have to be quite still. But it's still worth it!

"Perfect for the Average User" on by mecast

Pros: Photo Quality, Ease of Use and General Durability

    Cons: Limited Setting adjustments

Summary: This camera is absolutely perfect for someone that is just taking pictures of their family. If you are a professional or aspiring to be a professional, this would not be the camera for you. The camera is lightweight, and small enough to fit in your pocket. The Photo Quality is outstanding. It is generally an all around great camera.

    "Decent camera." on by DrtyDogg

Pros: Low cost, ease of use, advanced features

Cons: Slow shutter/auto focus, heavy, bulky

Summary: Got this camera for the price and the features it has. It really has not disappointed me at all. Sure it's not the best around, but it has given me some great photographs. It's big and heavy which makes camera shake a problem, and the auto focus is kind of slow. on the up side it has 6x optical zoom. and 10x digital zoom for those really hard to reach pictures. Over all a great camera for anybody other than a pro.

"good price, but minnimal software abilities." on by Kinchy

Pros: Great zoom, high megapixles, v. powerful flash.

Cons: Lage, bulky, hard to lug around.

Summary: It's good for those peole who don't find size as a problem. A bit slow with the focusing, and it dosen't work if it's too dark, but apart from that.
    Highly recommended.
