"A one in all camera for a great price, Fuji makes it better."
Pros: Super 28 to 300 zoom, 9 MG, great for the geek.
Cons: Menu is made up of several layers, have to scroll through
Summary: I used to be a professional photographer using the Canon series. I then went to digital an Olympus on a lark. When I started traveling all over the world I needed a camera with macro and long tele capabilities so I bought the Fuji S602 Zoom and loved the camera. Three years after using that camera in all types of environments - Artic to deserts, I decided to buy a new Fuji - the S9000. It is perfect for what I do - take 100 to 300 pictures a day when I travel. How can one go wrong with a 28 - 300 zoom, a dual range macro, a flash that goes out to 15+ feet, dual storage cards, cable release for the tripod shots and threaded lens for filters? Let me tell you the difference between the S9000 and the Canon and Nikon high end digital SLRs. On a recent trip to France, I was with two acquaintances and every day I would be asked to "give" them some of my shots that they had missed. They were switching lenses while I was shooting. They carried their wide angle and teles, I carried the Fuji. Tell me how one can change lenses in a dugout canoe, on the back of a camel, or floating by an iceberg? When I have my shots printed in 11x14 and 12x18, people ask me what film am I using - when I tell them it is digital they are flabbergasted. I don?t work for Fuji! What more can I say?
