"Excellent for travel"
Pros: Zoom, size and ease of operation
Cons: High contrast situations and size of Photometry Selector Dial
Summary: Just upgraded from the Fuji 602S to the 9000. Just returned from a month in Europe using the 9000. The 9000 performed beyond my expectations in most areas. Its easy of operations and zoom range were perfect. After reviewing 1300 pictures I will agree with CNET's assesment that exposure in extreme contrast needs help. One of the features on the camera is a three position Photometry Selector Dial. I ended up switching between the 3 settings a lot to compensate with the many different contrasts found in my travels, and because of that my major concern is the dial is way to small for the amount of use it got. It would be nice if Fuji had put a larger or different shaped dial that would make it easier to change settings. Color and sharpness looks great. I have not printed a 13x17 yet, but I did take some pictures with that size in mind.
If asked, I would buy the camera again and highly recommend it.
