"Mixed bag results" on by alpac
Pros: Shooting performance. Great zoom.
Cons: Picture quality so and so
Summary: I received this camera yesterday and I have been shooting all day today. I must say that I am pretty disappointed with the first results. In the auto mode I could not get any good picture. Then I changed to P mode and play with the aperture vs shooting speed I got better results but still not that great. On my day of picture shooting today I took the Fuji s9100 and my daughter's cheap Kodak C633 so as to do some comparison. For indoor pictures the Fuji got much better results, no question about it. The intelligent flash system does an excellent job. However, outdoor a lot of pictures were better with the Kodak believe it or not. The Pics from the Fuji were often too smooth and not sharp enough. I would have expected much better from a camera of this range. From time to time I got an excellent shoot but could not find a pattern in the way to take a great pictures. May be I have to learn more about this camera but it sure does not take perfect picture out of the box.

"Manual rated 1" on by Rob Dodson
Pros: Camera rated 10
Cons: Manual rated 1
Summary: There must be an English interpretation out there somewhere that we older Photographers can understand what is needed to get from point A to point B, without all the double talk lost in language interpretation. My oh My how computer programmers language has changed our learning processes. We need someone who realizes we all do not speak the same language out here.
