"Good camera for infrequent use" on by bethend
Pros: Great detail in pictures, look just like film
Cons: too long to save and reload
Summary: This camera is great for those that take a few pictures and want great quality, the pictures that I send to get printed look like they were taken on film. But, I have children and they move fast; this camera is not good for me because it takes too long to save the image and get ready for the next picture.

Pros: Inexpensive, digital camera for a first time user. I get great pictures, my rechargable batteries seem to last forever & I get "hundreds" of pictures on the media card included. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on a product that I have never used
Cons: Software included for managing images is a little cumbersome.

"Buy something elsewhere" on
Pros: I managed to prove to Gateway's tech support that the camera was defective out of the box. Camera should get at least 25-30 images before new batteries. I got a full refund INCLUDING the re-stocking fee. Tech told me that the new DC-M42 has the same batte
