Pros: Good Picture, Decent night shots of Christmas lights...

Cons: grainy video, but at least it's got sound with it, SD Card!!!

Summary: I have been enjoying my HP 435 for about 2 yrs now...gets decent still shots, and once you figure out its layout, an all around enjoyeable camera. Trick, don't use the screen to take your shot, use the viewfinder, and after you take the shot, the pic will pop up on the screen and ask if you want to delete it or not. Very nice feature!!! fiddle with the ISO and Balance to receive enhanced picture quality. Nothin you can do about the grainy video, but works well enough on audio for quickie recording, escpecially when and where a camcorder is cumbersome and/or too slow. I got mine on sale from Wally-World about 2 yrs ago for $91 and you can still buy one for about that price. Good starter cam. If anyone knows what I'm doin' wrong with the SD Card, please e-mail me at dick_pensive@yahoo.com.
    Thanks,
