"Solid Performance with no drama"
Pros: Another typical well-thought out HP product
Cons: Most settings change back to their defaults when camera is shut off
Summary: It seems popular to overlook the HP cameras for other models with more exciting whistles and bells. But while your friends are still trying to figure out the strange software and odd controls for their new cameras you'll be out taking great pictures as the Photosmart 735 gives you everything you need in the straightforward manner you've come to expect from HP products. More importantly HP doesn't try to dazzle you with overly complex, too-helpful software. I've used this camera for the hundreds of photos on my website, a monthly newsletter, and hundreds of eBay auctions (add a pair of photographer's halogen lights, a white backdrop, and a tripod and you can do great close-up work). Two things to keep in mind with this camera are most but not all settings go back to their defaults each time the camera is shut off and medium to poor light shots with the flash off require a tripod. I guess the best way to describe my satisfaction regarding this camera is friends and readers are constantly asking me what kind of camera I have when they see my pictures. Their jaws always drop when they find out I spent hundreds less for my camera and are getting superior shots with less megapixels.
