"Good all rounder camera" on by Boltyjr
Pros: Good picture quality, anti blur function for shaky hands, video with sound
Cons: No removable Disk support, complicated transfer procedure
Summary: This is a good camera and is cheap compared to other models of the same quality, the zoom and pan functions are good as well. The ISO function can go up to 1000. The only setback that is important is the fact that you cant open the SD card as is. you have to use the microsoft picture transfer software or the Kodak Easyshare included

"A Solid Starter Digital" on by jsupdc
Pros: Quality Photos and Ease of Use
Cons: Slight Delay at Power Up
Summary: This is a solid, dependable choice as a first-time digital camera. I completely disagree with CNET's review of the C653. The reviewer judges the camera on criteria that should be applied only to mid-level cameras, not cameras targeted to entry-level users. This camera's cheap price, large video display, and ease-of-use make it more than adequate for the first-time digital user like myself. Kodak has provided a fierce competitor to imports, allowing us to buy American without sacrificing quality.

"Dirt cheap, great camera!" on by elreteipos
Pros: Lots of features, good software, idiot-proof interface
Cons: Battery life, software not compatible with Linux
Summary: This was the cheapest camera I could find and yet it's absolutely fantastic. You don't need to read a manual to operate it as the interface makes total sense. It has lots of features, including video (640x480 or 320x240) and scene modes. When in scene mode, you see a description of the current scene mode and when you should use it. The downsides? As on almost every camera, the battery life's not that great. Their EasyShare software is very nice, but there's no Linux version. Linux didn't detect my memory card either, so I had to use Windows to import my pictures.

"Poor camera, have to work hard to get decent shots" on by PCcruncher
Pros: Very sturdy "brick" I've taken 25,000 + Pics with this camera. Would I do it again? NO.
Fast flash recharge is niceCons: Indoor quality is very hard to achieve with this camera, outside with decent lighting goes ok.
To enter review mode you have to go through your "favorites" folder, which you can only add pictures to with Kodak's picture program.(which always crashes) -
"It's okay. Would not buy another one." on by Idaevelyn
Pros: It's easy to use
Cons: Lacks compatibility with standard computer software.
Summary: Extension .MOV does not convert all video clips to .avi or .wmv. Experience "codec" problems in MovieMaker even after changing filters. Panning is not very good either.
