"Got it as a gift, and I love it!" on by Luv2Ski217
Pros: This is a great camera, my girlfriend bought it for me after my Sony Cybershot bit the dust on a trip to St. Maarten. I really enjoy how small and easy to use it is. The HD video is better than the CNET rating says it is.
Cons: The only problem I have had with my camera is that the battery is junk. I only get about 30 min of use on it, and I think I will try to upgrade it soon.
Summary: If you are looking for something simple and a great value for the money this is the camera for you.

"Really Great Camera For the Price" on by LinuxOne
Pros: Takes Really Good Hi Quality Macro Shots, Good Overall Camera
Cons: A bit Noisy in the Dark or indoors, indoors without a flash gives a orange glow
Summary: Its a really great camera, especially because I'm 13 and grown through many a camera, this is the best one I've had for $200 dollars (I got it cheap {$155} at Walmart.com) and it is really great. Ive taken About 10000 Shots with it so far and it is still working really good.

"Nice to have in your pocket" on by umanskyp
Pros: 1. Quick startup (depending on SD card size)
2. Easy controls
3. Easy to navigate internal operationsCons: 1. Video feature is useless
2. Inconsistent picture quality
3. No battery gauge displaySummary: I am holding off on buying a digital SLR until after the holidays; most of the time, I will probably use my $700+ SLR to point and shoot anyway, so I decided to pick up a Kodak M1033 in the mean time. I chose black -- the most "sturdy-looking" of the available colors.
The main reason I like the camera is that it takes so little time to "boot up" when powered on and is instantaneously ready to shoot. However, after having the camera a few days, the startup time went from about a second to several seconds ... I finally figured out that the higher capacity the SD card, the longer the camera needs to boot up.
I was using a 4Gb card -- I switched back to a 512k and the camera is instant once again.
The picture quality is quite inconsistent in artifical light ... what can you really expect from a $120 camera, right?
At the end of the day, its nice to have a camera in my pocket to take those shots that come up unexpectedly from time to time.
Would I recommend this camera? I'm on the fence .. I wouldn't recommend against it ... but that's not much of an endorsement. -
"Great Camera @ a great Price!" on by 614vampire
Pros: My last 3 camera's have been Kodak. M1033 is very nice, Great Display and is HD.
Takes great indoor and outdoor pics. Lots of options for differant picture settings. As long as you know how to read a manual. Good video. Love that it's 10mpCons: Takes some getting to know, all it actually does. Internial memory is kinda small when set on 10mp
Summary: Love to use it. Takes crisp clear pics. like the big LCD display in back. Battery last awhile. The price isn't bad at all, but shop around first. Some places have it for to much and other places have it as a great deal.
Plus it's easy to use. Once you learn it.
