"A very underrated camera."
on by SwordmaszterPros Wifi, nice large touch screen that fips and twists, nice videos. Low price if still can be found today.
Cons Simple Video playback controls, Low MP, kinda bulky
Summary This camera really isn't as bad as a bunch of reviews says they are.
I had planned for awhile to get the 6MP version, but I walked into Wolf Camera one day and saw the 4MP version for only $100 (with the wifi card and extra battery included!!). This was basically a steal because the WiFi card itself is $100.
The screen on this camera is amazing. I don't have to worry about messing it up because of the wonderful "flip and twist" design of it. I LOVE touch screens. And this camera does a fine job at doing that. One bad thing tho is that sometimes the stylus is requred to hit certia buttons. I would like to just only use my fingers but some of the buttons on the screen are really tiny.
Pictures aren't as great as I thought but it's nothing to ***** about. They still turn out nice and you can make everything out. I'm not an expert photographer so I don't need top notch picturs.
Videos looked amazing for me. There was no need for me to buy a cam corder, because this thing does a good job at taking videos. One bad thing is tha during playback, you can ONLY Play/Pause. No fast forwarding or rewinding. So if you take 10 min videoes (like i do sometimes do), you'll have to wait all that time just to see those few good parts.
I love this camera and for only $100...I had one of the best deals I have ever gotten. This was my first camera ever to buy, and I am not disappointed in what I received. -
"Good camera for a beginner"
on by jbrauer13Pros beautiful LCD, very durable, big 128MB internal memory, good video, great scene modes, good color system
Cons wrist strap broke after about 6 months of use, low light images tend to be blurry without flash, wi-fi could be a lot better, freezes up occasionally, only 3X optical zoom,
Summary I have had this camera for almost a year now. It works. I have dropped it now and then and the metal body keeps it safe and sound. I got it shortly after losing my Fujifilm Finepix A345. It was like a breath of fresh air. the fuji had a little 1.7" LCD, and 320x240 avi video. I was amazed when I got this one and the LCD was soo huge! it's great! the video is pretty good, and I like that you can zoom while taking video. I have a 1 GB SD card and I can fit nearly 1/2 hour of VGA 24FPS video on it.
I love the different shooting modes. It is actually pretty fast. I love the burst feature. Unlike changing the ISO, you just tap the top left corner of the screen, and tap on "first burst" and it's done. I have some great pictures from this camera.
I've learned how to get around it's quirks and get the best shots. It takes very good outdoor nature shots and so forth.
The wireless feature might as well not be there. there are relatively few networks that it can actually connect to, and once you are connected, all you can do is e-mail someone a link and a thumbnail that they click on to see the gallery-stored image. they can't even really se the full sized thing. just like a VGA image.
you can upload your pics to the gallery, and look at them even if they arent on the camera, but uploading/downloading is pretty slow.
I updated the firmware from Kodak shortly after getting the camera. It didn't really help anything as far as I can see. -
"Top of the Line"
on by ignatius89Pros Huge screen, easy to use, long battery life, many features, awesome pix
Cons Kinda Big. but not too big.
Summary Since my last camera's screen broke from too much pressure (inside my pocket) I wanted a flip screen. This camera is perfect. It's got a flip and a touch screen so no more worries about breaking it! From all the reviews I've read about this camera (websites, forums, magazines, research, etc...) the only place that really had anything negative to say was download.com. The woman in the video was just so negative! I know it doesnt have much to do with the product but the woman only had negative things to say. If you put the camera in the leather pouch the other way the stylus is "stuck" in the camera because of the case.
