Pros Beautiful shots, excellent zoom, multiple modes
Cons I don't find any
Summary This camera is fantastic. With it's 10x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom, you'll catch everything! There are different settings (I love the sports setting for use at my sons' basketball games). It produces clear, crisp pictures which print beautifully (not at all grainy or cheap looking).
An amazing quality is the night setting. I took a picture of our all black dog in a completely dark room and the shot turned out! It was as if she had lighting around her. You could see every detail. Amazing!
CNET mentions no digital image stabilization but I guess I'm not missing it because my shots are perfect no matter what the situation.
Force yourself not to zoom in as much as you think you need to zoom when taking the shot. You can always crop and zoom later.
Battery life is excellent. I took well over 400 shots with the batteries that came with the camera. I put in rechargeable AA next and those lasted another solid week of taking shots EVERY DAY at basketball games (3 sons playing basketball means lots of games!). I do wish the camera gave a little more advanced warning when the batteries were getting low.
Screen is clear and easily visible in all lighting situations.
Overall, this is a great camera. If you're looking to take outstanding shots with an easy camera, you've found your camera.
Pros Great color quality, incredible 10X optical zoom, easy to use features, easy to hold,
Cons No image stabilization, minimal information in users manual
Summary I think this camera is wonderful for the amateur photographer. The picture and color quality is incredible. It does not have any image stabilization for when you're using the zoom, but a small tripod or some other flat surface is a nice solution. This camera has multiple settings so it's fun to take pictures in different settings and compare them for the best results. I absolutely love the auto setting on this camera. Other camera's I have owned claim the auto settings would choose the best results and did not live up to their claim. The auto setting on this camera truly does choose the best settings for the conditions, so you don't have to worry about the settings when you don't have time. The camera is a little slow between each picture (because it allows you to review the picture you just took for a few seconds), but that's why I like the continuous shooting mode. You can take 3 consecutive pictures in a row (or 30 consecutive pictures and the camera will save the last 3) so you don't miss the precise moment you're trying to capture. Overall, it's a fabulous camera. I'm very glad I purchased it.
Pros Takes awesome quality photos, simple to use, great zoom, and I guess being an amateur, I don't miss features that I wouldn't yet know how to use...
Cons None I can think of...
Summary This camera suits me well. I expect as my photographic skills grow, I will be looking into buying a DSLR in a year or two, but for a first or second digital camera this one is great !
Even after I aqquire a DSLR, this one will accompany me as a "backup" !

Pros Great color, nice shutter speed
Cons no low battery notification
Summary I have read negative stuff about this camera, but I love it! Love all the features, espically the detail when you use diffrent colors. The battries do last forever seems like. Also it is affordable price for what you get. Yea granted if you zoom in it gets blury but most cameras do! Thats why they offer the crop. The cropping feature is great. I really recommened this camera! It is also very nice looking camera! Go buy it now!!!

Pros The camera takes great pictures, has multiple color and scene settings, as well as offering a manual mode.
Cons The camera takes a few seconds to power-up, as well as taking a second or so between shots.
Summary This is a great camera for the consumer aiming to capture semi-professional photos, without shelling out the cash for an SLR (single-lens reflex). The Schneider-Kreuznach lens offers an impressive 10 X optical zoom; however, you had better bring a tripod for anything past 6 X, as this camera does not offer image-stabilization. There are several color modes to choose from, including an accurate black & white, as well as high color and sepia (“se-pi-a” – like old western photos, where the photos are brownish and later a brownish pink, due to a preservative dye from cuttlefish). The camera offers a scene mode for virtually every setting or condition (e.g. parties, nights, fireworks, etc). I recommend sticking with the CRV3 lithium battery, or its equivalent, as it is the biggest bang for your buck. Don’t listen to anyone that says the camera takes poor quality images. It takes great pictures for the cost involved. The camera takes a few seconds to turn on, as well as taking a second or so between shots; hey, it is a $250 - $300 camera, if you can’t wait a few seconds for the camera to turn on, break down and buy a $600 - $1,400 camera.
