Summary: Hold the camera as still as you can and IS works like a charm up to 12x. You can make excellent photos once you learn how to use the camera, and I mean LEARN! People who wont bother learning, then better off with something more expensive that can zoom in & out :P
The manual specifically mentions "no alkaline batteries" and in another part also "do not use alkaline batteries". If you are too stuborn to listen, then you brought this to yourself (yes Im refering to those who complain abt camera shutting down after 10-20 photos). Get a KLIC and you will have a camera like everyone else, charging the battery after quite a while.

Every now and then, I think how better this camera would be if it had a viewfinder and raw pictures to compensate for the stupid high JPG compression, or if it was just a little faster. Well, theres a medicine for that as well, its called "have you forgotten abt the price you bought it already?" So, if you are on a tight budget, but want to have some extra zoom and the time to learn how to use manual settings, then this kodak could be your next camera ;)
