"Decent camera, with good zoom, for such a budget price" on by buzzbee098
Pros: For a budget camera, it produces good results for sports photography. The 10x zoom still produces sharp results and there are plenty of manual options
Cons: The camera feels a little cheap and plastic in the hand. I find myself operating the shutter with my middle finger, with my forefinger on the mode selector, sometimes accidentally changing the mode
Summary: I'm no professional. If I were, this wouldn't be all that good, but if I were, I would spend a lot more.
For amateur use, it's pretty good and when using it for sport, it's massively better than my previous cameras, both of which were more expensive.
I have just bought the camera today and have been testing it out. I tried using the maximum zoom, to take a snap of a car, about 100 yards away, travelling pretty quickly, in pretty low light, as the sun was setting and I was able to read the licence plate on the car with ease.
I put a printout on the wall and took a photo from across the room and when I zoomed in, it was very easy to make out the 8pt type on the print out
Some of the sports shots (Ice Hockey) I took were almost of a professional quality and the burst feature helped with this, although one drawback of a camera with no viewfinder is that when taking burst shots, once the first picture is taken, you cannot follow the shot on the LCD screen, which will instead be showing the first of the pictures taken.
For a 10x zoom camera, it is very small and easily fits into my pocket.
Overall, I just think this camera is very good value for it's low cost -
"Very clear picture, weak on battery, easy to use." on by ardjo70
Pros: Sharpness can be adjust, high color setting very impressing, dof for makro focus amazing for pocket class. Most of the time I use manual setting on this camera with good result. I buy this camera because the price and has 10x zoom.
Cons: Battery life very short compare to KODAK Easyshare C713. Power only AA Battery model. Noise in ISO 400 and above. Display can not perfectly in low light condition. Take several second for PASM mode.
In smart mode the camera rather noisy.Summary: I like this camera because the photo quality and its 10x optical zoom. The flash power also can be adjust. I like the high color and very sharp setting in manual mode. Face detection also work well.

"Great quality, if you want more, get a DSLR" on by Wild_Karrde
Pros: Easy to use, I use it for freelance and it takes awesome shots even as high as ISO800.
Manual controls are great for difficult situations that Auto just cant do.
If you use it in its capability range its great if your expecting a DSLR then get one.Cons: Unless you use Lithium Ion, or Nickel Metal hydrade batteries dont expect to shoot for long if you use flash much. f/stop control is a little odd at 1st
Summary: My final statement. This camera is awesome in its category, if your guna compare it with a DSLR then it probably wont do what you want it to. But for a second camera in your pro bag, or a step up from the full automatics this is a great camera, lightweight, feels a little cheap at first but it can take quite a dump unless you dropped it right on the lense... Sharp clear shots even at full zoom (without digital zoom)
Macro works like a charm, incredible close-ups that most compacts can only wish they had built in.
I take this camera everywhere, for family shot's, landscapes and even extended shutter at night, it performs great and can take a beating, took it skiing and its still in one piece working great!!!
Copy and paste the links to see some of my shots with this awesome little camera, I think they say it all for clarity, color, and quality!!! The shots taken at night were at 800 ISO without flash, and 100ISO with flash, as you can see the quality is still good even at higher ISO numbers :)
Any facebook users out there tell me what you think, and more reviews coming on other great camera's!!!! My final tip, read your user guides and ask other users of the camera before you through it out. Have fun and snap away!!

"It would make a great camera for the Smokey Mountians." on by COWBELL
Pros: 10x optical zoom with a sharp lens. It shoots fast, shot to shot is1 to 1.5 sec, startup time is about 2 sec.( start-up is the same as my canon SX110 ). You do not have to remember to rase the flash and it is in a nice spot on the camera.
Cons: No camera is perfect at this price point. Heads up here you do not get a SD card and no A/V cable comes with the camera.
Summary: These are just my thoughts, I hope they might help a little... The camera has a nice solid feel to it, it just feels like a real camera in your hands, you can get a good grip on it. Just about the same size as the canon SX110. I would give it a 7 out of a 10 on picture quailty. It has a realy flimsy plastic cover over the usb - av cable ports. I use program mode alot and keep the ISO down to 100iso to keep the noise down. I have used portrait mode and the camera used 64 iso and the picture looked very sharp. I use energizer aa lithium batteries or 2500-2900 NI-mAH rechargeables, you would not be happy with standerd aa batteryies. I rate the LCD a 7 out of a 10 it could be a little bigger and brighter..

"A great camera!" on by mustanglady2222
Pros: Takes excellent photos, menus are easy to read, survived a fall from the kitchen table, quick shutter speed on auto, super sharp pictures without even trying, easy to record video
Cons: tough to switch modes on the fly (quickly), not sure if it's a pro or a con - but while this camera is easy to use right out of the box - learning to actually make use of all the fancy features is going to take some time.
Summary: I was headed towards another camera and husband spotted this one on sale for half price, which put it under $100. I am very pleased with my purchase and continue to learn more about it every day!
