Kodak EasyShare Z950 (Black)

Pros: The zoom on this camera is fantastic for the size of the body, it still fits in your pocket but expands out for a full 10x optical zoom. Also the optical image stabilization is far than the cheap digital version found on many similar-priced cameras.

Cons: There is no optical viewfinder - but the LCD is 3" and more than adequate. Also, the batttery is proprietary if this matters to you - but a generic backup can be found on Amazon for $6.

Summary: The HD video is fantastic, and as is the story with all Kodaks the picture quality is incredible, the colors are true to life and never subdued. The camera has quite a few manual adjustments if you want complete control over the photos, but also works great in auto modes as well. Bottom line I would highly recommend this camera to anyone wanting to step up a notch from the old point and shoot but who doesn't want to spend a TON of money.
