CNET Editors' Review

The good: Extremely compact and portable; speedy performance; high-quality pictures.

The bad: Almost no wide-angle capability; optical viewfinder small and not very sharp; small main navigation button.

The bottom line: Snapshooters who value picture quality and portability will like the KD-500Z, but don't expect prosumer features.

Review: Konica's Digital Revio KD-500Z packs 5 megapixels and a retractable 3X zoom lens into a tiny package. While its feature set is strictly for snapshots, this Revio is a sprightly performer and takes top-notch pictures. If you're searching for ultimate portability in a camera that can support big enlargements, the KD-500Z is worth a serious look.

Cons: VERY disappointing flash

Summary: When flash is not required, this camera takes, in my experience, very nice images. When flash is needed, you better get a different camera. Red eye is not the biggest problem, rather it is the bright sparkle in the eyes of people. I am told the problem is the close ... Expand full review
