"Awesome Camera"
Pros: 12x zoom, manual controls, lightweight, compact for functionability and price point, macro, anti shake
Cons: EVF resolution could be improved
Summary: This camera is well suited for those wanting to break free from the monotony of the point and shoot world. Compact and full of manual options, it gives the user possibilities to explore what the more professional side of digital photography. It takes superb photos, I have snapped over 500 in 2 days in Seattle's inclimate fall weather and it has exceeded the expectations that i had for it.
Cnet's review complains about the button configuration though it hasn't been a problem since one of the buttons is the macro, which this camera is very well suited for, enabling pics at 1cm, and the other button is a programmable function button which you can toggle for flash, white balance, iso, etc...so using them isnt paramount, hence their location. I fully enjoy it, though the evf could be better in the pixel department as it is a little grainy at 114,000, i believe, and the video mode that i dont plan to use is small, but i wasn't looking for a camcorder, i was looking for an intermediate, capable camera, with good manual control and a great zoom, and i found it. I hope that this helps and that you find what you are looking for for yourself or your loved ones.
Cheers.

I am upgrading from my Cannon A70. I'm kinda a novice when it comes to camera jargon but I'm wanting to take better pics than what I'm able to take now. Can you please explain what EVF is?...I'm trying to make a knowledgable purchase. Thanks for your time.
