"I am happy!"
Pros: wonderfull images!
Cons: Too expensive!
Summary: You make your own photos like in old times. You need your lenses again and your photos belong to you: no complete automatic system.

Leica has fixed the problems with early production models of the M8 noted in the review. The infrared sensitivity was not a design flaw as much as an unintended consequence of using the thinnest coatings possible on the lens elements. It's been cured with a filter on the early production models, which Leica is providing free to its customers. The banding issue was fixed by a firmware upgrade.
This is another awesome digital camera for those who want to control the entire exposure. Leica just announced several new Summarit-M lenses ranging from 35mm to 90mm for this camera to fill out the product line. It's time to take another look at this camera.
